I have dark brown hair and really want to try adding a red tone to see how it looks- any of you ladies have any suggestions?

I have dark brown and I've done Natural instinct as highlights. I've also done Manic Panic.

don't do it... permanent, semi-permanent and even temp RED dye takes FOREVER to get rid of. the last time I dyed my hair red was for my senior pics, so that was junior year... we're looking at 2001ish and I still have a red hue. I look best with red, but for the wedding wanted my natural color...
if you aren't sure of the color then wait until after the wedding.
but my personal favorite is miss clarol 33R, its called flame.
I'll ask my mother for some other red suggestions when I see her tonight.

I did the NI BRIGHT red colors a bunhc of times on my dark honey colored hair and it took long than the box said, but it did always come out. eventually.

WOW- from 2001!!!! Is your hair naturally dark brown? I've been told that most dark hair, like mine, has red undertones. I actually find it somewhat funny because a few yrs ago I was trying to get any red I could possibly see out of my hair and now, I want to dye my whole head red. Thanks for your help and adivce. I'm going to rethink this now.

LOL, no, NI= Natural Instincts and they had a line that was like... extra BRIGHT colors... I don't think they make that line anymore, but the colors were super saturated and they still washed out. I don't think it would be a problem for you

Did you ever try Lush? They have one @ Macy's green acres. They carry a line of henna products. The red one is Caca Rouge Mama (I know...caca...).
It washes out after a few weeks and is totally natural.
FM me if you have more ???'s.
