Good Old Gold

I have heard really great things about Good Old Gold and plan on going there this evening to look for wedding bands and also inquire about upgrading my current e-ring (enlarging the stone and changing the setting to accomodate)...can anyone tell me what their price range generally starts from for both e-rings and bands. I just want to make sure I am not out of my leage here.

I found them to be way over priced-they wanted to charge my FH over 4k more for the same exact band I ended up getting with a Diamond of lesser quality.

I got both my E-ring and wedding band there!

I looked around a lot and the overall QUALITY (brilliance, scintillation, cut, symmetry) of the John's diamonds far exceeded anything else I saw out there.

As far as pricing, I think they are pretty much fair for what you are getting. But in the end a diamond is a diamond and I guess you are paying for the quality of stone that you get.

For my wedding band I wanted a shared prong eternity setting. I aboslutely love the fact that all of good old golds diamonds(used in settings) are HEARTS AND ARROWS DIAMONDS. These are diamonds that are cut with near perfect symmetry to produce optimal performance in all conditions.

I ended up designing my own band, and while tthe diamonds are stunning, and the prongs are as small as I requested, the inner part of the band where the circles are made so that the diamonds can breathe are not the neatest in appearance, but then again who is looking.

When and if I am ready to purchase more diamonds or upgrade my e-ring I will def. return to Good Old Gold, and I really only feel comfortable working with Jonathan!

Best of Luck

Jen (sorry so long)

DON'T GO THERE.
My husband got my ring there. It is a 1.45 karat cushion cut stone J SI1 with baguettes and he spent like 9k on it. I hate it now and want to get rid of it but no one wants to pay what he paid. I am looking for 1/2 just to get rid of it. They are a total rip off. Total Total Total! I got my wedding band at a jeweler for 5k it is .25 karat per stone eternity band G stones, beautiful in platinum, at good old gold they wanted 5k for a .08 karat each eternity band.
