Good online florist recommendation?

Need to send flowers to someone. Who can you recommend? (other than 1-800 flowers and FTD).

Re: Good online florist recommendation?

I usually look up a local florist in the phone book...they are less expensive and do way more for your money than 1-800 or FTD.
Where are you sending it?

NYers are willing to pay a lot of $$ for stuff. When I send my mom flowers at home (Maine) I call the local florists and they ask how much I want to spend. Usually I say '$50' and they say 'WOW...we can make a huge arrangement for that much' and then I tell them what kinds of flowers I want. Last time the florist put oranges and lemons in the bottom of the vase....my mom LOVED it.

Guess I'm giving just a little bit too much info. SOrry!!

Re: Good online florist recommendation?

No, that's helpful! I'm sending them to a hospital and I was thinking about calling a local florist direct but I'm just so used to doing things online. After looking at some websites though I'm not really seeing much that I like (for a new baby boy) so I may just have to do things the old fashioned way and pick up the phone

I've used Teleflora, and the person received exactly what I had ordered.

Re: Good online florist recommendation?

I'll never order from 1800flowers again. I used them for v-day two years ago and they totally dropped the ball.

Then my FW ordered from them just to send her grandma flowers for her bday... and they delivered them a day late. Total cluster-f***.

Re: Good online florist recommendation?

I agree, definitely DO NOT order from 1 800 Flowers - I learned my lesson after ordering from them a few times and NEVER being happy with the flowers.

I've actually had some very good luck with Hallmark Flowers...my sister in law got them recently and they were GORGEOUS and my mom just sent them to me for my birthday and they literally almost lasted for 2 weeks!

Re: Good online florist recommendation?

try proflowers.com. the are awesome i sent my motherin law a fall mix which was 24 long stem rosed with a vase for 29.99 plus shipping but her flowers lasted 2 weeks. they ship from the grower. so it comes in a really long box each rose individual wrapped with the water attached to each base. she sent me flowers from there in july and the flowers lasted about 2 weeks and they opened up the next day. let me know if you need a code for the free vase or chocolate fm me!

Re: Good online florist recommendation?

Proflowers!!!!!!

They are truly awesome!

You can always get great prices .. and the flowers are gorgeous. They are fresh cut from the grower .. so they need a day or two until they open .. but they last and last and last .. like nothing from any other company .. and we've tried our share of companies .. until we found proflowers .. now we never bother with anyone else.
