good or bad idea

I want to get a bouquet charm for my Grandfather who passed away a few years ago. When I was younger I used to collect pins. Places I went, things I liked etc. So when he passed away my mom gave me a bunch of his pins. I was thinking of using one of those instead?

Thoughts?

I am actually doing something similar for my grandpa who passed away this year. He was a detecive and I have one of his pins from his badge and I am putting that on my bouquet. I think its a great idea!!!
