i dont know about spas, but i love the bliss steep clean mask...you can get it from sephora, it's wonderful and makes your skin smooth as a babys butt!

what about just going to the dermatologist

hmm have you started a new moisterzer or something recently? or maybe something new you used that you might be allergic to?

but yea danielle's right, if its really really bad, maybe you should see a dermatologist, sometimes a facial at a spa can make it worse, you can still be allergic to the products they use...nothing is every 100% hypoallergenic i think.

i know of places but not in LI, sorry. I know theres the elizabeth red door spa. They are good for pampering yourself but to be honest the facials arent that great if you have problematic skin, i go to this other lady who is amazing.

BUT if you broke out, you can go to the dermatologist and get a cortisone shot. Ive done this before and within 24 hours they will go away. ITs also better this way bc you will save yourself the money since all you have to pay is the co-payment. With a facial you will pay alot more, regular facials arent that bad but I was getting facials every month for 6 months before the wedding and it was more intense bc it was specifically for problematic skin and it did get real pricey, each time was $200 and up.

Not sure if you go to the city much, or are willing to make the trek but I've been going to the same woman for YEARS and she does such an amazing job I never cease to get compliments on my skin. The salon is Kimara Ahnert (www.kimara.com) located around 83rd street on Madison Ave (1113 Madison Ave, NY, NY) and there number is (212) 452-4252. My best friend (MOH), her sister and I have been seeing the same estetician there (Valeria) for almost 7 years. She's amazing!!!! Well worth the price and the trip!! Plus, she's quite possibly the sweetest woman I've ever met!!

LOL, what a coincidence!? Seems like we have similar taste on a lot of things Denise, hah!

I've used other ppl there when Valeria has been on vacation so they are all great. I'm just partial to her after so many years, but you can't go wrong w/any of the women there! They really do such a thorough job!

Yeah I was surprised when I saw you say you go there lol.

I use Lydia, although I havent gone since right before my wedding and I should lol. I've also run out of most of the products I get there except for the glycolic cream. I will say that they did a much better job than the dermatologists.

Yea that is the name of it. I get mani's and pedi's there. They are amazing and give you a massage as your nails are drying. I know that they do facials and stuff like that there but I never got facials there.

I get facials and microdermabration from this other place on DPA, but the name is slippling from my mind, lol. It's a small place and they go crazy on your skin - they are fantastic!! I have problems with breakouts and after I go there my breakouts are non-existant. But I can't think of the name - i will get back to ya on that.
