We took our non-pro in Avalon Park at the Stony Brook duck pond...pics are in my album, as well as the 'day we got engaged' album. They have that cool labrynth there.
We're probably taking our pro e-pics at Sunken Meadow in the fall.
Other places are West Meadow Beach in Old Field, or Frank Melville Park in Setauket, which has a cool bridge and grist mill.

West Meadow Beach is beautiful, Stony Brook Village is a great spot too -- they have a huge lawn in front of their circle where I see a lot of people take wedding photos (and it's very close to Avalon Park that Ali suggested).
I don't know if you want to travel that far, but any of the vineyards would be an awesome backdrop for e-pics!!!
We are probably going to do ours on the beach in front of our house but might shoot some others in Northport Village. They have pretty dock, as well as a big waterfront playground with a huge gazebo.
