good prices on jim hjelm BM dresses

RK bridal quoted me $221 for the BM dress (JH5873) and $229 for the MOH dress (JH5876). they said they'll beat any price. anyone have good recommendations for better prices?

web vendors that you trust w/ great prices?

I didnt check RK bridal, but I priced Jim Hjelm all over the island and everyone came in within 5 dollars of each other.....all around the $220 - $250 mark depending on which dress it was

If thats the price for the no frills deal through RK bridal I dont think its a great price, you can get roughly the same price but with the regular bridal shop service elsewhere.....i bought from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa

The dress we're getting was quoted at $204 by RK (before the 2009 price increase), but it was also the same price at the Wedding Center. It's now gone up to $216 at TWC, but list is $248. I don't know if RK held the price, or increased it as well...honestly, I would just ask whichever bridal store you purchased your dress from if they are able to price match. Wholesale is wholesale, so they're all paying the same amount...just a matter of how much markup they're willing to take.

She has a point about asking the salon where you purchased your dress from. Most of them will give you an additional discount on your Bm dresses if you bought your dress from them.

it's 10% off at the salon i used for my gown, but when i called she asked me how much i had seen elsewhere and then told me that the dresses would 'probably' be around $300 bc jim hjelm is an expensive line. i saw the very dresses i want for cheaper than that @ BR, which is in no way a cheap place since they totally tried to overcharge me for the gown i ordered. i told them i was going to shop around, so i just want to see if i can get some lower numbers out there to bring to RK and my salon to see if they'll price match. i kinda thought RK was the cheapest, but i wasn't impressed with that price at all.

$300 is def an overcharge...maybe 275 tops since your dresses look like satin, and mine are taffeta. JH is definitely expensive, but it sounds like they're trying to rip you off. Maybe try the bridal suite of centereach or even the wedding center in commack, although I don't really recommend the latter.

I ordered my BM's Jim Hjelm dresses through Here Comes the Bridesmaid. They were $232 and the dress for my MOH was $212.

my bm bought her dress from jim hjelm from http://www.perfect-bridesmaid-dresses.com/ and we got the quotes online. it was really easy and you can print out the quote and fax it to RK. Hopefully they're cheaper for your dresses

Go to the Wedding Center. The will be or match any price. Even on line prices. So look for your dress online and they will give you the online price.

p.s Get alterations done elsewhere.
