Good restaurants in Stony Brook?

My dad is coming to visit on Friday and I want to take him out to dinner in Stony Brook. Any suggestions for a nice restaurant, close to the university? He'll be in a meeting there for the day.

I went to pentimento a couple of years ago for Easter and the food was good. If you're willing to travel to Port Jeff, there are some really good restaurants there.

Brook House is kind of like a family diner. They have that type of food.

Three Village Inn is nice, but kind of on the expensive side I think.

Eastern Pavilion is a chinese/japanese place that has really good food and is good if you are looking for good food, quick.

I HIGHLY Recommend the Country House. It's pricey, but the food and atmosphere are just awesome!!!

I love Bliss in setauket on 25A.... It's just passed (I mean just passed) Nicolls Rd. heading east.

Great food and the chef is an opera singer and comes out of the kitchen to sing for everyone.
