Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip??

Hi just wondering if anyone has delivered there and if so how did you like the hospital? I found a new ob-gyn and shes affiliated with good samaritan and winthrop. I dont know what one i should deliver in. Thanks

I delivered at Good Sam in July of 03. I had a wonderful experience in the labor and delivery floor. My nurse was terrific and stayed with me the entire time. She was so sweet, calm and soothing for me.
My experience in the maternity ward was not as great. They do not have private rooms so I was sharing with someone who did not obey the visitors hours and had people there all day. I was having difficulty nursing and the nurses were of no help to me. And when I went to them hysterical cyring at night because my roomate was snoring soooo badly, they basically told me I had to deal with it and sent me back to my room with raging hormones and crying. But then a very nice nurse came and moved my room for me. I though am not one to stick up for myself so I did not complain to anyone about how the nurses were neglectful. Overall the place wasnt all that bad.
