near Westbury? It would be a Saturday night. Wedding is over at 11:30 and I have been telling people to meet at my hotel's bar. But..I have a feeling it might be too lame for some of them. Are there any good bars, clubs or lounges for them to go to?

Our favorite place to go is Dempsey's (its on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow). Its pretty small but we always have alot of fun and the food is great. HOwever, its not a fancy lounge or club.

We're staying at LaQuinta in Garden City. They told me they have a bar that stays open til 2 AM...but when we went, it didn't look like much of a bar.

I'm having people come to La Quinta afterwards. I agree, the bar there is very lame and underwhelming, but drunk people won't know that.

do you have a shuttle from your reception hall? and are a lot of people staying at the same hotel? ...it might be easier and safer just to have the after party at the hotel

In our case I dont really know if OOTers are actually going to be staying at this hotel, but our drunk BP and friends will be staying there, and they are providing shuttle to and from the RH, so thats all that matters. If there's alcohol, people will be thrilled!

We used the bar at the Four Points Sheraton after the wedding - that's also where we had our hotel block. It's not a huge bar, but no one cared......we had like 20-30 people there and they all had a blast. Most of us were hanging out there and outside until 4am.

We had our after party at La Quinta. We rented out a conference room, got our own bartender, hooked up an ipod. Everyone had a great time.
