Good thoughts/prayers needed.....

Hey all....

The reason I've been in NY the last few days is because of a family medical emergency. My sister is going in to have spinal surgery in the morning.

A few weeks ago an MRI revealed the source of her recurring back pain is from tumors in her spine. She also has 2 herniated discs and has been having spasms that cause her alot of pain. We don't know if the tumors are cancerous (although the doctor is optimistic).

I came up to NY this past Wednesday to help eleviate some of the strain on my parents (sis has been staying with them, along with my 5 year old nephew). They needed the help and the comic relief (we've drank alot of wine), and I was able to get some registering done (while babysitting - fun).

I didn't think that I'd be posting about this - but now that I'm about to put my monsterface nephew to sleep, it's hitting me that he's not going to be seeing her for awhile while she's in the hospital. I know that everything is going to be OK - and that finally she'll be pain-free.
