Good Update!!! Florist Problem - 2 Months After Wedding

Update!!

DH finally got in touch last night and it turns out the guy we were working with directly is no longer with the company. It seems like he didn't leave on good terms and left his work open-ended. They were apologetic and we're meeting with them on Friday to discuss everything.

I'm not going to say the name of the florist because I feel like the guy who left was the real problem. Now that he is out of the situation things are looking up. We'll see how things go on Friday and if I'll need to update again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry this might be long, just need some advice.

We LOVED our florist when we booked them, and they were great throughout the entire process. The day of everything looked beautiful, but there were a few problems.

1) The flowergirl basket that I brought to them disappeared. They just used another basket to make up for it, which was completely fine with me (better than her having nothing to carry). I do feel like it was a HUGE waste of my time. I had to find the basket and bring it to them along with the FG dress to match all of the colors.

2) Our contract stated 18 tables, but once we found out our table count we only needed 17 centerpieces. We told the florist in time and they only made 17. We essentially paid for 18 and only received 17.

3) During the reception the maitre'd came up and asked me where my throwaway bouquet was. (I had no idea of course). The maitre'd was great because she immediately said not to worry. A few minutes later I saw her running into the kitchen with one of our centerpieces. She ended up making a throwaway for me with flowers from the centerpiece.

Now, over 2 months after our wedding, we can't even get in touch with the florist. My DH has called numerous times and left messages for them to call back. He did finally get to speak with someone and they told him they needed to review our contract and would call back. Weeks later, they haven't called.

I feel really bad about this becasue like I said we loved them when we booked and the flowers were gorgeous the day of our wedding. I just think their behavior now is ridiculous. I don't know what to do anymore.

Your situation sounds similar to what happened at my sister's wedding with her florist. I wonder if you used the same vendor? FM me if you want.

Also, I wouldn't stop harassing them until they get back to you and alleviate the problem, ESPECIALLY re: the extra CP you paid for!!

I think we share this vendor, so it makes me nervous. Can you fm me? I think you should remain persistent, but there might be another explanation - if it is the same vendor.

Can you fm me the florists name? That is horrible what they did for the wedding. I can't believe you paid for 18 centerpieces and they had the nerve to bring only 17! Even though you may not have needed them for centerpieces for your table YOU STILL PAID FOR THEM!!! That's horrible!!!

Why don't you just go there? I'm sure they have night or weekend hours. Refuse to leave until they give you an answer. They won't want you to complain in front of potential customers.

However, regarding the throwaway--isn't that your responsibility to keep track of? Or was it not delivered at all?

The throw away Bo-K is just thrown in the package many times so you might not have paid for it anyway. The center piece...it depends on your contract. Mine said $x for CP and final count a week before the wedding but if you did a lump sum you might be outta luck on that one.

Im not so sure the florist is way out of line on this one.
