Good website for changing your last name...

Good website for changing your last name...

Miss now Mrs. This website is awesome! You only pay like $25 and you put in all of your new info once and it puts it into every single form you can think of and then you just print them all out and mail them. That way you dont have to go to each place separately to get the form!

It's really easy to do it on your own.

I am just skeptical of giving a complete stranger, never mind posting it to a website, my complete personal history - SS #, work info, bank accounts, credit card accounts, etc.

I did SS and DMV on the same day, was in each office 15 minutes tops. DMV you need to do in person anyway to get a new DL.
SS I did in person because I did not want to mail in my card and my marriage certificate.
Credit cards you do over the phone.
My new passport arrived on Monday.
Changed one bank and just need to do the others.
Work and a new W-2 you have to do on your own. usually the HR department will update your payroll and insurance info.

It's not as bad as it seems.
Save the $25.

I'm a little old fashioned about that, but like I said, so easy to do on your own.

Just curious, how do they handle the DMV for you ?

There is a site called Bride Law that has links to all the appropriate forms/areas for free, if anyone's interested....

I agree. I did it myself and it was really quick and simple. I would save the money.

Gotta agree here .... seems like there are better ways to spend the money. Its not as hard, complicated or time consuming as people think it is to change your name.

It looks helpful, but I am super-skeptical to give all of my most important information to an unknown website....that's just me. I wonder if it really is a valid site
