Goofy Entrance Idea??

My FI and I are both fans of the show The Simpsons. We don't want to do the whole big 'Sports Team' kind of bridal party introduction and bride/groom entrance so one night as we were watching the show we said wouldn't this be cool to come into the theme music from The Simpsons. I am making a wedding cake topper with Marge and Homer in a wedding dress and tux and I thought this would be a cute tie-in. Do you think its too goofy.

(The Wedding cake topper would look like the picture except it will be mounted on a stand of some sort).

I LOVE IT!!!! If that is what you both love go for it!!! It is your day and I think it is a great way to personalize it. The ONLY way I wouldn't do it if I were you is if you are having a black tie formal affair....if not GO FOR IT!!!!!

I think it's great!

We decided we're going to use 'White Trash Wedding' by the Dixie Chicks as our entrance. That song cracks me up every time I hear it!

I agree with you clpnch, but my FMIL would pass out if we walked in to that song! edited to say I didn't mean to hijack the thread. Walk in to what you like. I think the Simpsons song would be funny!

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to try to make the cake topper and see how it comes out. If it looks ok then we'll go for it. If not...we'll have to keep looking for songs.
