Goofy Question...for those who have/will have a band.
I am sitting here listening to AC/DC and I am thinking that I would love to have a few classic hard rock songs at my wedding. I love rock. I can't see myself having a night full of Sinatra (maybe some but not the whole night). Have any of you had your bands play any hard rock? My band kicks butt and I know they can do it. I mean I know certain songs wedding bands should stay away from. But I am thinking:
Honky Tonk Woman by the Stones Walk This Way by Aerosmith You Shook me all Night Long by AC/DC

I plan on having my band play You Shook me All Night Long....I think it is a great song to play towards the latter part of the wedding when people are quite toasty and dancing!

Yeah thats EXACTLY what I was thinking. I also plan on having them play Margaritaville. My father once sang that in the car years ago and that will be my private tribute to him without bringing everyone down. I want it played at the point where people are so drunk theat they don't know what they are doing!

I love the tender moments of a wedding, but I really wanna ROCK!
I should have the song 'I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll!'

We had some special requests for our band, Soul Revival (vendor on here). They play everything, and have two amazing singers (M & F) but we had some special requests that we wanted, they told us to just give them 4-6 weeks before our wedding, and they would get the band to learn them. We asked for:
Your Smiling Face - James Taylor Here Comes the Sun- The Beatles You Can't Always Get What You Want - The Stones I Believe When I Fall in Love - Stevie Wonder

My mom might gonna lose it. She tells me 'I don't want to hear any of that 'boom diddy boom' music.' Eh well she won't wear her $4,000 hearing aids so she won't know the difference!
