has anyone who's already gotten married or who is just weeks away kept a list of every big/little expense since they had gotten engaged??

I am not getting married till october, but have already spent a lot. I know this is bad, but I don't keep track (except for deposits). I figured in the end, it will seem like I spent less!

I keep an excel file of evertyhing we booked & its cost & what we paid so far & what we owe. It helps.

I started a list on WC.com, but need to update it. Guess subconsciously I really don't even wanna THINK about how much $ this wedding is costing!!!

I have a list of the big things but we haven't been good at keeping a list of the little things (unity candle, pew bows, etc.) I figure this wedding have cost us about 5-10 thousand above what we have on paper

Oooh that's a good point Betty! I haven't even figured in all the little expenses, stuff that I bought to try making other things - test runs - UGH!

Ihave a huge spreadsheet I kept withmy budget detail, summary and budget vs actual. It worked realy good for us. It was based on something I read in a wedding plannin g book I bought. Below is what I had on my detail sheet. If I didn't pay for something (like a cake - it was included in my reception fees), then it is not on my list. It also does not include honeymmon fees.
