Got a lot done! Blue Cake for me!
Another marathon day in LI.
Thanks to all the girls who encouraged me and showed me pics of blue cakes.
So I am getting the square shape of the first cake with the powder blue color of the second cake in buttercream and pearlescent white sea shells. There will be small white pearls at the bottom of each tier. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and raspberry infusion. Yum! I'm so excited to get my dream cake and my RH was really helpful in designing it.
Also, set my menu and so excited about the food. Everyone at the RH was really helpful and warm and we feel really great about having our wedding there.
We think we found our rehearsal dinner restaurant too. We considered Shipwreck Tavern because we love the aquariums and moray eels, but the food was just okay. We also looked at some Chinese restaurants. Today, we checked out Page One Restaurant in Glen Cove from some of your recs on the boards and it's perfect. We walked in and just knew. It has a warm cozy feeling, a very pretty private room with tuscan yellow washed walls, the chef/owner is super nice and it fits our ocean/beach theme. Plus lots of great reviews in Zagats, NY Times, etc.
Then we went to Bed, Bath, Beyond and exchanged one of our registry gifts for a Breville die cast espresso maker-- that was my fiance's award for all the wedding stuff I've been draggin him to lately.
Thanks for listening-- it's all coming together!!!
