Got a quote for my inviations .. What do you think?
I tried to add a poll but it didnt work..
Whatever
So it's 200 inviations with RSVP cards. It's $1.20 an invitation $0.50 for addressed RSVP cards.
They are written in Chinese & English one side Chinese one side English So thats $340
Good price? (I think so, but just wanna compare)
I'll see if I can't dig up a picture of the invite. I can tell you it's square not rectangle shaped, it's red and folds to open top to bottom with the Gold Symbol of Wedding on the cover and the words 'Wedding invitation' in English below it.
Inside paper is pink with the lettering in shiny red.
Jim is Chinese, so the invites are going out like this.. I really wanted a chinese themed wedding but he wants it low key so we are going for a fall theme instead. I don't think the invites will really hurt that image too much.
THOUGHTS?

$340? I think that is a great price. My Save The Dates are costing me $600. I don't even want to think about what my invites will cost.
They sound really beautiful! See if you can find a picture!

I think it is a great price, especially because it is in 2 languages. My invites were 320.00

It really doesn't sound bad, I paid $250 for invites in one language, and there were only 100. I think you are right on track.

I think it's a great price, but honestly, hon, do you need 200 invites? I know you're worried about having even 100 people in attendance. Is that the minimum order for that kind of invitation? Is it a sale price that won't last?

I think that is an average price....it's around what I paid for 100 invites w/ inner and outer envelopes w/ return address, 100 RSVP's w/ pre printed envelopes, 125 TY w/ our monogram.
You could shop around if you want...but I think that is a decent price.

OK since LIweddings system lost my original post I'll paraphrase. God that ticks me off!
1. Chinese & Hispanic Traditions require us to invite those close to the family even if we KNOW their not showing up!
2. 200 is a good base number since I haven't gotten Jim's mother's list.
3. 200 is also the worst case scenero, so it can only be less not more than this cost.
Lets see if this posts

I hear ya. I think it's a great deal, but just don't forget to budget in the cost of stamps (both on the invite and on the RSVP envelope) since I know you're budget-conscious. Must see pics...find em and post em!

Still looking for a pic but having no luck.
Apparently in Chinatown if you get married and you're chinese you do the reception at the resturant, it's the resturant who makes up the invitations.
It was a pain to find a printing place.
The ones we picked aren't really fancy, mostly cause I still think people don't really KEEP invitations to someone's wedding for more than a year.

I would love to see your invitations. I was thinking about printing out a few in Polish. But having it on both sides sounds good. How much extra did you have to pay for that? What company are you using? Thanks
I have the card at home.. but it's in Chinatown. No offense, but I doubt they know Polish :). However I did a search online first, and I know there's lots of places that do bilingual invitations.
