Got a ticket... QUESTION.

I got a ticket in Queens for having an expired inspection. I just didnt realize.

anyway, i took it the day after and had the inspection done.

Can i send them proof that i had it done and not have to pay the ticket or am i screwed and have to ppay $65.00?

I'm assuming I have to pay it, but just though i would ask

I think you can send in the proof that you got it inspected and theyll throw it away. Im almost positive. Just try anyway. I fight every ticket and get out of most of them.

Call and ask but I think for that you have to pay. I know a headlight you have a certain amount of time to have it fixed.

you dont have to pay if u got it inspected, fh is a cop :)

so do i just send in the proof with the ticket and not send $???

or do i have to appear? I cant take off work, im a teacher.

Word of advice to everyone! Fight every ticket. Especially parking tickets. If you plead not guilty, they send a letter with a lower charge. Like 20 bucks less than the original ticket. You can either take the offer or continue to fight it.

I've never heard of being able to just send in proof to be able to get out of an inspection ticket. I work in a police station and I've had many complaints about speeding tickets and etc. that will defiantly get plead down if you take them to court, but I haven't heard about the inspection ones .. Sorry wish I could be more help
