Got engaged last year

Got engaged last year

I just wanted to share that exactly one year ago today, Chris proposed to me at the Lincoln Memorial (so appropriate for those of you who know us!)

It is bittersweet because of all that happened with Chris' mother, and we remember how happy we were BEFORE everything happened but at least we have each other and hope for a better year!

Happy engagement anniversary! Sorry you're going through so much but you've got lots ot look forward to; being admitted, your house, your health, the wedding! I think it's great that your FMIL got to see and be apart of so much of your lives but it is sad that she won't be there for the rest.

It is very sad when you have two big events (one positive and one negative) happening at the same time. It is exactly what you called it bittersweet. But congrats on the 1yr and just remember that ur FMIL is looking at both of you from heaven and will always be in your hearts..

Aww!! First, congrats!!!

Second, that is the absolute BEST way to look at it-- you have to have HOPE and at the end of the day, at the very least- you have that and each other to hold onto!!!
