Lets not even talk about how long I had to wait to get them...I am using the Invisalign clear braces and I just got them tonight...I am in a little pain..I just pray my teeth move fast!

braces are well worth it....i wish they had invisalign when i had to wear braces way back when!
Oh this is my second time with braces...My teeth shifted since I had them in HS

Take Advil for the discomfort - the first 2 days after a new set can be VERY uncomfortable - Also, don't be disappointed but sometimes you need to do a revision after you are done - and you have to maintain it by wearing your final set as a retainer, just like regular braces. or you will relapse. FM with any questions - i am a dentist

oh the pain must be awful. i remember when i had them the first nite i cried, it hurt so much.

Good luck- I hope they work in time- the discomfort is worth it! My orthodontist had a permanent retainter glued to the back of my teeth that I don't even notice- I've had it since I got my braces off at the end of Jr. high about 12 years ago- they say your teeth always want to move back to the way they were. It's only a pain when flossing and it the cement chipps off- I actually need a touch up. Maybe your orthodontist can get you one too?

I just got my Invisalign a week and a half ago!! -
The pain only lasted the first day. I took some advil and it was fine.
I had braces when I was younger, and my teeth have since shifted (I notice, although most people think I'm crazy for getting braces again).
Since my teeth aren't that bad, I only have to wear them for 20 weeks (and possibly extend it for longer depending on how I respond to treatment). But they'll be gone before my wedding!!! I'm very excited and can't wait to see the end result.
I would totally recommend my ortho, she's in Woodbury. FM me if anyone has any questions.

That's great, Kathleen, congrats! It didn't look like you needed them but it sounds like they're something you've wanted for a while. I had braces so I know how painful they can be but pretty soon you won't even know they are there
