it was dh cousin. he didnt want to start drama so he let her bring the plus one
she wasnt even dating anyone!!!!!!!!! she brought some random chic!!!!!!!!!! and she only gave us $100
turns out she pulled the same shiit on my sil when she got her rsvp in the mail last week

Oh man...I feel your pain. I just sent out invites and am waiting for some fool to try the same thing. FH's cousin got married recently and whoever sent back the response crossed out whatever number was reserved for them and wrote 11...yes..ELEVEN.
FH has vowed to shut all that kind of foolery down.

Thats sucks! It's so weird though because right now we are experiencing the total opposite! We had so far 3 guys, 1 of them is married, who rsvp'd for 1. I told FH wow your guys must really wanna get their pimp on that night, lol. It turns out that the married guys wife is away in italy and she'll be there for a few months. But the other 2 guyss???

Mine were personalized- Have yet to get someone to add on- theres a few who arent bringing their plus ones.. Did you call and shut them down??

Sorry to be lurking...but HELLLLL NO! I would call and totally be like, your not bringing A or B! There is only one spot at the table for you and you alone! I hate how people just think a wedding is a free for all! Then they dont even pay for the plate! Hope it all works out!

Mine were perosnalized as well with a specific number assigned to each card and yes there were some inconsiderates, who choose to write in their own number and add names.

I had a guest who knew he was invited without anyone send back his RSVP for 41 people. I told him to bring whoever he would like and I would send him the bill for his people.

The only people I am letting bring dates are those who are married, engaged or in a long term committed relationship..AND either my FH or myself needs to know the +1....we also do not want just random dates showing up.... lol

I was nice and invited one of my BM with a guest....mind you, she has no boyfriend, she is playing the field on match.com....and I was hoping she would reply with just 1....but I just got her card the other day and now she says 'not sure about guest, will let you know'
I'm telling the hall she has no guest....

You should watch out for guys who rsvp for 1... i dont think they know how to fill out rsvp cards..
DH's 2 friends rsvp'd for 1... and then during cocktail hour i saw one of their gf's walkin around... and the other guys sister... they are both young and never rsvp'd to a wedding and didn't fill out the card right (i thought about it a couple of days before the wedding but DH said i was crazy)... luckily i was able to talk to my maitre d and he put 2 extra place settings at that table before the reception started-(so the girls didnt feel awkward)...we were under our minimum anyway so i really didnt mind.
eta- sorry i responded to SoonToBeMrsC ... i just realized this had nothing to do with the rest of the post
