I would wait especially if you plan on sending a picture with your thank you!

i'd send it now. I would be sort of annoyed if i got a thank you months later

I'm waiting for some of those I'm so bad!
Id wait and send them all together. I think they should understand and anticipate the wait.

I sent mine right away so they were done. I was worried I'd forget about them later on . . .

Re: got my first gift from a 'no'
I waited to send a thank you with the rest of them. But I also made sure my parents or IL's acknowledged the gift to the giver........'Oh yes, they got your gift but they want to wait to send you a card with a picture!' No complaints.

Re: got my first gift from a 'no'
Good question....I have three like this. I am thinking that I would feel better sending a thank you now. Afterall it takes months after the wedding to get your thank yous.

Re: got my first gift from a 'no'
If FH or I see the people we will give them a verbal thank you to be polite and to also let them know we received the check and it's not floating around somewhere.
Otherwise we're sending a TY out with all the others after the wedding.

Re: got my first gift from a 'no'
I have been sending a TY card as I receive them. I def. wanted to acknowledge the gift...not wait months and then send them a TY. I also plan on sending another TY card when I have pics from the wedding.

Re: got my first gift from a 'no'
I sent them out now and then I am going to send out the wedding ones too after the wedding. The ones now are just on my informals. Just so people know we got the gift.

Re: got my first gift from a 'no'
If it's a gift from a 'no' like this one I would send it out now... If it's a gift from someone who is still going to be coming like we've been getting I think it's ok to do it either way.
