Got my first 'surprise' nos today

Ugh, I just got the first real unexpected RSVP today. It was from FH's Uncle's in laws, and never for one moment did we ever think they would respond no. His MIL came to my shower even and we sent them a STD and everything. They are elderly and split their time between FL and LI, so the only thing I can think of is that they will be in FL at the time, and they don't come back up until just before Christmas usually.

Starting to get nervous...I'm getting so many nos as it is that I really can't afford for my shoe-in yeses to say no too

I feel your pain. I ended up with only 40 peple. But you still have time. When is your due date for rsvp's?

It's 11/1...so 3 weeks. Which sounds fine, but BUT...actual count, not exaggerating, of the 90 people still outstanding, 51 are OOT. 51!!!!!!

We need 63/90 to say yes. Ain't happening. At all.

And do you know what FMIL's solution to this problem was? To add 4 more people to the guest list....who live in Vermont

Oh, and ETA: I called my hotel today to see if any reservations have been made by these OOT guests, to gauge if maybe they're coming just haven't sent back the card...only reservation made so far has been my sister, so suffice it to say...they're all probably not coming.

on the hotel thing -- don't take that as an indication because I found LOTS of my guests waited till the last minute (or when the discounted rooms were going to be done!)

LOL I'll crash yours and you can crash mine!! I hate unexpected No's. i thought 100% my cousin was going to come but that damn biotch is having a baby that week. UGH the nerve of her!!!
