BTW anyone who still needs to get their's me and FH went to Islip town hall like a week ago and it already came today. I thought that was really quick the lady told me ot would be 6 weeks.

Niiice! I'll have to get FH there...he STILL didn't get his...but he made the appointment for the PO in Frarmingdale for Monday...but after hearing your story I think i'll force him to go there instead! LOL

I think I'm going to wait until after the wedding to get mine since I'll have like 6-7 months...easier with the name change and all. Did they mention anything to you about if it would be a PITA to change your name? Because if it's not maybe I'll get it over with now instead.

Congrats!! I have been nagging FH for MONTHS now and he still hasn't went to get his! I told him he HAS to do it this weekend but I am sure he will come up with some excuse why he can't!

According to the website on the passport renewal application, if you change your name within a year of getting your passport you can change your name on it for FREE. I just sent my renewal in and was bummed about what to do after the wedding. But the website says it will be free.

Not so bad instead or my last name ending in ch they put eh It just annoys me because they had my licence a check and my birth certificate all with the proper spelling I guess I will call and see what they say.

You have to call and send it back and they will correct it. You can't use it the way it is. This happened to me once when I was renewing my passport. It will come back quickly though so don't stress about it. Call first though, because I kind of remember there being a special address to send it to.
