I posted about this snorkel set in MAY but FH said that we had enough time to get it, etc. so I waited. Then, of course, I tried to get them last week at Sharper Image, but they're a seasonal item and no one seemed to have them anymore, not even online!
I called store by store and someone finally referred me to a store in Philly that supposedly had them. Well, they did, and the manager even gave me free shipping on them when I mentioned how ecstatic I was to have found someone who still had them in stock because they're for our honeymoon!
Ordered Friday afternoon and they just came (a set for me and one for FH) to my office! Woohoo!

Yesenia we almost bought that same set at Sharper Image a week or two ago!! We really need to get a set for the HM too!! Do you mind me asking what they cost? If they are all out we might check Costco a friend told me they sell them there too.

Girl, Costco is out of them!!! They're even out of sunscreen since it's the end of the 'summer season' for sales or whatever.
The snorkel sets are $59 each, but we paid less, something like $75 for both? I can give you the number for the store in Philly that still has them in stock. The set comes with a travel bag too, so it's a great compact set to travel with!

You know, I'm not sure if it's special, but it does have a few cool things:
- silicone mask (so it's more comfy than plasic-y ones) - dry snorkel (so water doesn't go back in the tube and chokes you, lol) - cool fins that are not those long platapus looking ones - compact travel bag where everything fits nicely - one side is perforates to that they can fully dry when stored and don't get musty.

Does that place have a website?? We need to get that too! As enticing as puting my mouth on the same snorkel that everyone else does- I think I might opt for my own...

This is precisely why we wanted our own gear! We've rented snorkel gear before and been so super disgusted when we realized they don't get sanitized as well as you'd think.
This set is from Sharper Image, but it's not on their website anymore. You have to call the Sharper Image stores and see who still has it in stock - PIA but worth it! The set is great.
