Got rear-ended today

Ugh! I got rear-ended today, about a mile from home. I was on the service road, just west of 111 and well all had to slam on our breaks out of nowhere and I almost hit the person in front of me and the person behind me actually swerved to avoid me but she couldn't. Thank God neither of us were hurt and the damage is only to my trunk, but what a bummer. Luckily, the woman who hit me was nice and friendly and helped me calm down. I was afraid she would be defensive since she hit me (you know how some people are when they are wrong) but the first thing she asked was if I was hurt. I know it sounds weird but I was glad that it was a nice person. She was driving a big truck and I was afraid that she would have an attitude, but she didn't.

Scary thing, while we waited for the police, we saw two near miss accidents right near where we had ours. Same situation. Maybe there was oil on the road from the heat.

Even though I am physically okay, I need hugs

Aww...Sorry!! I love those people that hit you and then blame you, Luckily you had a nice person hit you!! Have a drink and relax, maybe have DH massage your neck and shoulders, they may hurt in the morning!!

That *****! It does help that its a friendly person. I got hit in a parking lot by a woman with her son. The first thing she did was check to see if her son and I were ok and then gave me all her information. She paid for everything out of her pocket without a complaint so her friendy attitude will really help down the road.

But still, soooo scary!

im so sorry juliet im glad your okay... your so right about people being defensive my sister was in an accident the other day of her way to work when she was rear ended by a woman that was speeding to a red light. my sister hurt her neck and back and her car is in horribvle shape the woman had one of those monster truck suvs. the lady proceeded to get out of the truck and start screaming at my sister ad how it was her fault even when the cops were there they had to tell her to shut up and that it was clrealy her fault
