Got some CityHUNT info back for those of you who were interested

Hey Brittany, it's Jonathan Ross from cityHUNT) (please pardon the aol account- sometimes when I send emails from [email protected] it ends up in spam folders). Some elements are easier to explain over the phone, but let me give you an overview, and we'll go from there. Some stuff you'd know from doing a cityHUNT event before, but the pub crawls are a little different. (and if she's available, I'd love to have Rebecca run this event for you too!)

So the way a customized private Bachelorette scavenger hunt pub crawl would work: We would lock down the date in which you were interested (We could accommodate either the 12th or 26th), and an area of town you'd have the Hunt in (ie. Tribeca, West Village), and send you a link for a questionnaire about the bride, which you would forward to everyone in your group (different questions, some serious, some silly, etc.), which would bounce back to us after they were filled out. The night of, a City Hunt guide would meet the group at the scheduled time at the first bar, everyone would have a drink or two, the guide would explain how the hunt works, and send everyone out to begin the hunt. Everyone would follow clues that would lead them to the next bar. Concurrently, the teams would be taking a bunch of pictures with cameras we provide that are customized off of that questionnaire, so that everything is about the bride to be. The first team to get to the bar with all their picture s wins a free round or a free pitcher, whatever we can work out with the bar for that given evening (but free 'prize' alcohol for the winning team). There are four bars total, three rounds of clues and pics, two customized head start games, and each round takes about 25 minutes (all in walking distance). Everyone spends about 45 minutes together at each bar, so it's keeping people together more than it's keeping people apart. The length is an average of 4 hours long (it's only shorter than four hours if you were trying to make a dinner reservation, or if you're really, really good at hunting and finish fast. Or if you run (which is technically prohibited on the hunt)). Afterwards, we would upload all the photos, send you guys all a private link, and send you a CD of the pics).
Option 2) Charlie's Angels Hunt- it's similar to the pub crawl in that it's four bars and it's customized. We only recommend it if you have a limousine (we do not provide that)- it covers a lot more ground all over manhattan, it's more involved customization-wise (while the groom doesn't appear in person, we do require his involvement in recording a few voice messages), and it almost always goes longer than four hours. In both hunts, what we normally do is have the Bride spend at least a round with each team.

The cost of the Bachelorette pub crawl is normally $1000 for up to 20 people and 30 a person after that.
Cost for the Charlie's Angels Adventure is normally $1500 for up to 15 people and 50 a person after that.

I'm not authorized to adjust the number for the Charlie's Angels Hunt; normally, I can pro-rate the Bachelorette pub crawl down to 10 people for $700 and 30 for any additional participants (that way, you wouldn't get stuck for people who don't show up).

The thing I want to stress though, if a private event is in your budget, is the customization- we pride ourselves on our thorough customization and on our creativity- the more information we get back from the questionairres, the more we can make it a night all about the bride. (and the more that every participant can feel like they added something personal to make the night so special for her. As an added bonus, we think it's a pretty awesome, one-of-a kind experience for everyone who goes on the scavenger hunt too).

Please feel free to either email me any questions you might have or contact me at your convenience, 917-584-7003.
Thanks, and I look forward to speaking with you. Wait, do I understannd correctly- are you the bride? If you end up doing this, please promise to forget everything I told you, and act surprised.

thanks for posting this ... i really appreciate it

i don't think i'm going to have 10 people at my bach party so that's not gonna work for me. plus, i really don't like the idea of splitting up into groups (even if the bride gets to spend time with each of the groups)

sounds like fun, but I think I might go more traditional and bar hop with all the girls. I'd consider this for a girls night out tho, so thx for posting!
