Congratulations.. you must be thrilled!! I'm actually waiting for 'the call' from them. I've been so anxious about seeing my dress I actually called them last week and they told me my dress should be in by the end of this week!! Have they 'inspected' the dress and it's ready to be shipped?
I called them a few days ago too and they told me a week and a half, so i thought it'd be another week.
wait im confused lol, shipped where? she asked me too if im shipping it anywhere and i said no im going there to do my alterations and i will pick it up myself when its done too
When I bought my dress last year they told me how's there's a whole production with getting it. How when it comes in from the designer it comes into their store, they inspect it (quality control they called it) and then they ship it to you. You cannot open the box when you get it, but you bring it in with you for your first fitting. Also, you can actually get it shipped out of NY and then save on tax. Did they not go over all of that with you? Unless they started it later int he year since I bought my dress in early July ?

SERIOUSLY? w**...she didnt say anything to me about it on the phone now, just asked if im having it shipped or something like that. She basically asked when i can start fittings so i said ill call back tomorrow to figure out what day i can and what time. AHHHHH i remember seeing one girl on 'say yes to the dress' and her talking about having the box in her house and not being able to open it.
Guess i should call back to have them ship it to me now

they asked me if I wantd it shipped when I was paying for it cause if it's shipped outside of NY you don't have to pay taxes. but they never said anything about it being shipped then you bring it for the alterations. It sounds stupid to have to have it shipped then then bring it back to the store.

Re: Got the call
EMILY- i just called kleinfelds. They dont need to ship it to me. They offer to ship to people who can have it shipped to an out of state address so they can save on the tax. Otherwise they hold it in the store and you go there to try it on. I was wondering why am i going to go in person to pay and then them shipping the dress to me only to come right back when i get it lol.

Oh ok, that's great to know, thank you. The whole process didn't make sense to me either, and when I questioned it, they told me it was store policy. Glad to know that I don't have to get it shipped because it definitely made no sense, especially if you weren't saving on sales tax. Good luck with finding shoes and your fitting!!!

YEAH i was so confused hahaha. Its good though for those that can have it shipped to another address out of state so they can save on tax. I wish i would've known this, bc i would've done this when i paid the deposit lol, but i already paid tax on the deposit i left, oh well
