DH and I met with HSBC this morning and got preapproved for a house mortgage and they said we have exceptional credit, and we're officially starting our house hunting!!!!!!
We never thought we'd be able to afford to buy any house on LI, but we're on cloud 9 right now and hoping we're able to find something before March!

Re: Got wonderful news today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aside from the obvious CONGRATS!!!!... you're entering the housing market at a time when it's a BUYER'S MARKET.
