With the holidays coming up what was your first Christmas like with your FH/FW?
Colleen and I started dating on December 20th, so our first christmas wasn't really anything special, I enjoyed our second one a lot more, I had proposed on our one year anniversary in Atlantic City and it was the first time both of our families were finding out about it. Just seeing the looks on the faces of both families when they heard, the pure happiness that came out, made me feel even happier.... We had xmas eve at my house and it was very special for me for her to meet some of my extended family and see how they reacted towards her in the same way that on xmas day I got to see how happy her family was. Her parents actually knew about it beforehand because I asked if it was OK with them so when the family was coming to their house they told us not to tell anyone, for Colleen to just wear the ring and see if anyone noticed. The first aunt that came in did right away as did her grandmother, and from then on we had a great time... My best Christmas ever

My first christmas with FH, we had been dating for 4 months, so i was a little nervous being around his family. We did Christmas eve at his house first and then went to my house.
When we were opening gifts at his house, fh handed me a small box and his sisters fh yelled i hope its not a ring (which at the time freaked me out, because i was hoping the same thing). But when i opened the box it was a beautiful pair of white gold diamond stud earrings- I was absolutey amazed and relieved because it wasn't a ring

We were only dating 3 months, and I remember exchanging gifts with him privately in his room without all the fess of family members around....his gave me a coach bag and I still have it and love it. I remember the coach thing being a big deal bc he had no idea what a designer handbag was...definitely a tee/jeans type of guy but he totally pulled through.

Our first christmas we were dating 6 months and by then I knew everyone.
Christmas eve I think we had at my house and then we went to his uncles and his Aunts and cousins bought me gifts which i didnt expect at all and it was really nice. We drove around looking at christmas lights that night with some friends then we slept at my house.
Christmas morning we open gifts with my family and had breakfast. Then went to his house and opened more gifts with his family then went to my Aunts house for dinner. It was fun. I honestly Can't remember what we bought eachother this is our 4th christmas and I know i sound pathetic but i feel like they all blurr together.
WAIT i remember somthing lol. He got me a few disney snow globes and the hiliday tigger. I just cant remember what else.

our first xmas was bad.. we were on again off again.. lol. but our first real xmas we were together for a little less than a year.. i honestly cant remember what we did or even what we got each other.. ooops!!

Our first christmas we were together 2 months at the time. He spent Christmas Eve with my family and me and then went to NH for Christmas. We spent New Years together that year in VT and we've made that a yearly thing. The past 2 years he's spent Christmas with me though since we moved in together and we go to see his family after the holidays

our first christmas together was in 2000. i was only 16 at the time. we were together for 9 months. we went with his parents to his aunts house for christmas eve dinner & i met his dads entire family. then after that his parents & FH & I went back to my parents house for 2nd dinner & dessert. on christmas day FH & I & my family went to my uncles house. we exchanged gifts on christmas day that year.
i know i got him pajamas but i don't remember what else. i have no idea what he got me that year.

we were together almost year our first christmas. We spent x-mas eve at his house and then I spent christmas day with my family. I think the next year we started spending xmas eve with his family and xmas day with mine. This year we will spend xmas day with his family and xmas day with friends. we will see my family at new years.

our first christmas together we were with our own family's until the evening of Christmas Day when I drove to his house on L.I. to see him. He spoiled me with expensive gifts:) I wish I was getting those kinda gifts this year...hehe:)

yeahhhh me too... last year i got a MacBook... doubt this xmas is going to come anywhere close to that!!! LOL

I know the feeling. The bracelet I showed you on sunday is my xmas gift and birthday gift (january 7) every other year I've been showered with gifts.

its sad because i am struggling to remember what it was like 6 years ago LOL...
our family only does something for xmas eve (big italian xmas eve) and on xmas day we just chill basically. So FH invited me over to his grandmothers house for xmas dinner... and i have been going there on xmas day since

We started dating on 12/17/06 (two years tomorrow...woot!) So our first Christmas together was nothing... the 2nd though, he and his dad came here for Xmas eve and we went to midnight mass together after exchanging gifts. It was really nice and mellow. This year my mom and I are going to his house for Xmas eve and he will come here for Christmas.

Our first xmas was in 2003, we were approaching our one year anniversary. We were in our first year of college and broke as a joke. FH worked triple shifts to make sure our first xmas was memorable.
I jumped through hoops and fences trying to get him a sidekick (lol) I needed his social security number to access his account and his mom actually gave it to me.
We opened our presents up 12a.m. He gave me a name chain with both our names on it (so gaudy but it was young love!) and a name bracelet with my name on it. So funny to look back on it now, but it was perfect to me.
