GOTW QOTD 12-23

With the holidays coming up, how will you are your FH/FW be split up holidays between the 2 families? (The main ones like X-mas Easter Thanksgiving)

We sorta have it worked out. We do x-mas eve with her family and x-mas day with mine. Thanksgiving is with her family. Easter we have still yet to figure out. last year we did it alone.

x mas eve my family, xmas his family, thanksgiving my family, probably easter for his because we dont really do anything

Xmas eve is with his family, xmas day is with mine....thanksgiving and easter..i think we talked about it but im not sure what we decided lol..

Christmas eve with my family
Christmas day with ehr family
Thanksgiving with her family
Easter isnt a holiday to me

typically xmas day with mine but my brother had a baby in april so my parents are headed there.
easter day is with his.

thanksgiving we will be rotating...this year was with my fam so next year with his..

xmas eve with my mom
xmas day with his parents
weekend after with my dad

haven't thought about easter but its not a huge deal for us...

X-mas eve at my house Xmas day at his, Thanksgiving we kind of slit , easter we really don't care to much about...

we try to see everybody every holiday so we usually do dinner at one house and then dessert at another... our families live relatively close so its not a problem and it keeps everyone happy.

Xmas eve at his house-dinner, dessert, presents, and then head to my house to repeat all but add lots of drinks

Xmas day: my house

Thanksgiving: his house-dinner, dessert and then off to my house

Easter : his house-dinner, dessert and then off to my house

Sooo many dinners and sooo many desserts-its craziness

thanksgiving - FH cooks for me, FMIL, his grandmother & every other year his aunt, uncle & cousin.

christmas eve - me, FH & FMIL go to my parents house

christmas day - FH cooks for me, FMIL, his grandmother & anyone else in his family who doesn't have some place to go.

easter - FH cooks for me & FMIL. then dessert with my parents.

however once we have a house these arrangements may change.

christmas day - his mom's having party at hers so my family and I are going over there

new years day - everyone's coming to my family's house

if ever it doesnt work out like that we'll always split the day half with his family and half with mine, we live near each other so it works out

Same here, his family is not the best but the beauty is that he realizes it so we spend all the holidays with my family. The one thing we do with his family though is that his cousin has a party every Christmas Eve to honor his late Uncle who passed away on Christmas many years ago. He was very close with his uncle...
