I went to Macy's in the city today to look at dresses and didnt have any luck. First- all of the dresses were filthy- one was so bad i refused to try it on. Second- I was not allowed to take pictures- How is someone supposed to remember what i tried on if i dont have a picute? The woman that helped me was niceat first, but she was rushing me the whole time, and after trying on about 7 dresses she said we were done. I had one dress on and said I liked it but i didnt get that WOW feeling at first- so she told me to take if off! I know I have only gone to two places- but I am starting to think the dress I want does not exist. Can anyone rec. a NICE bridal place, where I can take pictures and they wont rush me?
Thanks

Re: Gown Hunt
Most bridal places won't allow you to take pictures (at least the ones that I've been to) You either have to sneak them somehow or pray for a cool Salesperson that won't say anything about it. Try going to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place, the sales girls there are really nice, they have a large selection of dresses and they definitely won't rush you!! Good Luck!!

Re: Gown Hunt
dont worry you will find it! i went to 7 stores before i found it!!
places that let me take pics: priscilla of boston, elena bridal coture, babylon village bridal, and lillettes (although they said they normally do not let that happen)
Bridal reflections did not let us take pics...
paradise bridal didnt until i purchased the dress, HOWEVER they were the sweetest people and did not rush me at all!!!
HTH! good luck! xo

I went to bridal reflections in massapequa and while they do not let you take pics out in the salon, the girl I was working with told me that if we took pics in the dressing room she didn't care.
I guess they can't punish her if she can't tell what's going on in there.

I'm telling you PARADISE! I use Barbara..out of all the places I went to I felt rushed & like the women cuoldn't care less about my taste & were just throwing random dresses at me..Barbara had so much patience with me because I never realized how picky I actually was! She's awesome. They all are there :) I know how you're feeling too,..I felt like everything I thought I wanted was not what I even liked on myself! I didnt & still don't care how far away my wedding is I need to know what I am wearing..i have like OCD & need to dream about it haha..you will find it & you will know..I even kept looking because people were like it's so far away there's all the spring & fall lines coming out..but couldn't stop comparing them to the one I now bought so I knew it was THE DRESS! & i also did not want to take the chance of it being discontinued & never finding anything like it. Hang in there you WILL find it & just know :)

Re: Gown Hunt
I had the same experience at MACY's Herald Square. quite a few of those dresses were really dirty. I don't think their selection is as wide as other places (they only had like two or three designers I think.)
What helped for me was going through magazines and picking out the gowns I liked, than finding out where they were available.
I found my gown at RK Bridal. It's a really busy place, but they have a HUGE selection. and its a few blocks from MACYs in the city. go there with a plan and I think you'll be alright
