gown preservation recommendation

I received my cleaned and preserved gown & veil last night and am so glad that I didn't have to pay an arm-and-a-leg for it!

Ladies, I used the Wedding Gown Preservation Kit from David's Bridal ! I did my research and found that they preserve NON-DB gowns too for the same price! And it's backed with a 30-year guarantee AND I could open the box to view the dress from time-to-time. You could also add whatever accessory you want to add on the box and they even offer gown repairs for a set fee (the prices seemed reasonable).

I went to the David's Bridal store in Long Island City Dec 21 and I got it back Jan 5 - just 2 weeks turn-around (they gave me a FedEx tracking number, my dress flew to Texas and back). The rep at the store will help you pack your dress and give you all the necessary paperwork.

For those still looking, I highly recommend using them!

BTW, one side of the box is clear so you can tell if it IS your gown or not!

EDIT: added a photo of the preserved gown!

This is a great deal! I actually saw this on the DB website a week after I dropped my dress off at the dry cleaners. Wish I had seen it earlier....besides...the box yours is in looks like a managable size not like the ridiculously huge box mine came back in!
