I want to check out RK Bridal, Designer Loft, Kleinfelds and Pronovias. If I take a day off from work, it is feasible to get the first 3 done in one day?
Or should I do RK Bridal and Designer Loft together and do Kleinfelds and Pronovias another day (maybe on a Saturday)? I'd rather do Pronovias on a Saturday because I think they're having a trunk show on 4/18/
PS. I already know what designers sell their gowns at which store so I have lists made up of the styles I like.

Re: Gown Shop Hopping in NYC
I got my dress from RK and if you go during the week its by appt, and on the weekend you sign-up on a list. It can take a long time- unless you go to RK when they first open.
If you go to RK request Olga, She is an older woman with a accent. She know her SH*T!
I think RK is great, i have nothing but great thing to say about them!!!

You'll have to make appts at everywhere. I'd schedule my appts at least 1.5-2 hours apart, depending on how far you have to travel. If you're up for a long day, you can definitely do them all at once. However, I tended to find that after 2 stores I was exhausted, so I spread my appts out over a few weeks. Plus, it can get confusing seeing so many dresses at once.
If you're not in a rush, I'd do a few on a weekend or something.

I think those are all good choices. I would reconsider the order in which you are doing them though. Kleinfelds is a mad house on weekends. If you are serious about looking for a dress there, you might have a better experience on a weekday when the masses aren't around jumping in your mirror. I bought my prom dress from Kleinfelds on a weekend and it was insanity.
Also Pronovias is in the 40's and Kleinfelds is all the way down in the 20's. I think you could knock out Pronovias, and Designer loft pretty quickly because the stores aren't tremendously large. RK and Kleinfelds are.
If it were me I would even it out by doing Designer Loft and Kleinfeld then doing RK and Pronovias on another day. That way you aren't burning yourself out.
Good Luck

I believe that RK bridal (39 8/9ave)and Provianas(5/49 st) Desiginer Loft is (37 7/8)are nearby like walking distance. while Klienfields is 21 st/6
figure it is about hour and half for each appt.depending how busy they are. I would try to do all in one day, but I also a nut a like to get it over with!
Good Luck!!

I was at Kleinfeld today, it was about an hour. FYI, they were filming 'Say Yes to the Dress' today (and may be all week). I think you could do all 4, but it's up to you whether you get tired.
There are also beautiful dresses at the demetrios salon in macy's.

I would do three def.... prob leave Kleinfeld's for another day. However, you can def do it. Get to RK as soon as they open. Make the first appt. Leave Kleinfeld's for last. You will have to give yourself a couple of hrs in each. Bring water and maybe snacks. Good Luck!

Re: Gown Shop Hopping in NYC
I would suggest no more than 2 bridal salons in a day..it gets really overwhelming by dress # 6..
Also-its great that you printed out and pre picked what you want to try on. I was the same way. I would suggest still looking around the shop first and really getting the experience of 'what catches your eye'. There are so many amazing gowns that you'll miss out on if your held to only trying your pre selected ones. Good luck and have fun! I loved dress shopping.

If you go to RK Bridal on the weekend get there when it firsts opens!! Otherwise, you'll be there for hours til they call your name. if you get there right away you'll be out in like 2 hours..
