Gown shopping

I plan to do some gown shopping over the holidays while mom is in town.. does anybody know how far in advance to call these places (everyone says to make an appointment) and also

Can you recommend some nice places by me (nothing overly pricey please.. I hate to fall in love with a 10k dress)

I live out in Sound Beach but anything suffolk area would be ok.

I heard Bridal Suite in Centereach is good. I plan to try it out first. I still haven't started yet.

Don't worry Kimberly, you have a (little) bit of time, but I would get on it!!!! I am bringing my MOH who is getting married in NOVEMBER 03, a year before me, and hasn't started yet either !!! So we are kinda going together, both looking for ourselves, but helping each other at the same time.. could get hectic, but we'll see.

So far I've had a really great experience at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. Everyone is really sweet there and they have a large selection and will order dresses that they don't carry.

i would say a few days before------>to be safe call a week before----be prepared to spend some time shopping!!!:)

I got mine at Lidia's Bridal in Copaige.. you dont need an appointment, they are very sweet

I highly recommend Bridal Suite in Centereach (NOT the one in Patchogue). I know for a fact that they are open Dec. 26th, 27th and 28th right after xmas. So far they have been wonderful to me. to be safe i would recommend an appointment, and then you will get treated terrifically (not that you won't be without an appointment, you just won't get a whole lot of attention and the big dressing room ). If you go to Bridal Suite, ask for Debbie!

I got my gown at Bridal Wuite in Centereach. I HIGHLY recommend them. Ask for Debbie, she is WONDERFUL!!!! I had absolutely NO problems there at all. My dress came in earlier than expected too. Good luck!

I too bought my dress from Bridal Suite in Centereach. They were all so nice. I delt with Jackie and she was great. The dresses range in price but my mother did talk them down a bit on my dress so they are negotiable. She also told me she would come down on the BM dresses. I haven't gone for a fitting so I have no info about that but I'm sure they will be great!

I went to Bonaventure and Bridal Reflections...Bonaventure is probably in the price range... although bridal reflections did hae a few dresses for $2500
I would recomend both
