Gown style

Gown style

My next big hurdle will be the dress shopping. We are getting married March 17th. I have heard it is acceptable to wear any style - even sleeveless or spaghetti straps - this time of year. If I went with long sleeves, I'd be fine but with short or sleeveless, gloves seem to be an important accessory. So what is the glove etiquette? How do you exchange the rings? I saw someone on TV put the ring over the glove and it looked strange. Do you wear them throughout the reception? Also, do bridemaids dress styles need to "match" the brides style? My MOH has already expressed some concern about the possibility of wearing a sleeveless dress in March. (I dont see what the big deal is but I also want to be fair). Any thoughts are appreciated... Thanks all, Elizabeth

I think nowadays, anything goes. Whatever you want. My cousin got married last March and she had a sleeveless dress and we had a thin off the shoulder strap dress. We froze our butts off but it looked nice. The gloves: there are a couple different things, you can put it over the glove or they sell special gloves that the ring finger opens.
