Gown suggestions needed...
Well, so far I've looked at 15 wedding gowns so far. Not 1 of them gave me the 'WOW' reaction. I don't think I looked good in any of them. Most of the dresses were pretty. Nothing special. I don't know what to do? I'm running out of places here in North Carolina to go to. Everyone I've spoken to said that you'll know when you've found THE dress. I haven't yet. At least I don't think so. What should I do??? HELP!!!

I think its a falacy that every bride finds 'the one'! I have looked around a lot and have only found 2 dresses that I would even consider. Neither of them gives me an absolute certain feeling. My only suggestion is to consider your price range. I had initially hoped to come in under $1500 but I have not found a solitary dress for less than $2K that looks right on me.

I had the same experience as Sonicstef. I went to at least **15** stores in my gown search. I finally found a dress I LOVE when I increased my price range!!! I know its tough with all we have to spend, but to me it was worth it -- and I'm going to cut back on flowers to make up for it!

I found the 'one'
But it wasn't cheap. I went to Wearstatt in soho. I loved it there! They carry their own designs and other designers too. I changed alot on my dress..they really worked with me. excellent service.

You will find the dress....
Keep your mind very open. Sometimes dresses look not so great on the hanger but they look great on. My sister made me try on a dress that I thought looked awful on the hanger but when I put it on I could not believe how beautiful is was. 15 dresses is not that many but a lot of people say that it becomes a sea of white when you keep trying on dresses. As I told Stephanie, start over. Clear your head of everything and call a new place. I can recommend Bridal Suite-Centereach (they are not part of the other bridal suite that always gets bad reviews). Debbie there is great and very helpful. Also, take a new person with you. Maybe that would also help.

I agree with Michele - I went to a few different shops, and made myself try on dresses that I didn`t even necessarily liked on the hanger, but looked completely different on. I ended up ordering a dress that was very different than the one I had in mind! I did fall in love with this one, but I also liked others for different reasons. So, it might not be such a clear decision. Also, try on different styles. Depending on your body type, some will flatter you more than others. I`m tall, and not overweight but definitely not petite, and found that A line was the most flattering on me. Good luck!

I found my dress on the internet!
Actually, I was thumbing through a bridal magazine - found a dress I liked, checked the designer website, and found one that I LOVED. Called all the stores the designer deals with in my area and Paradise Bridals borrowed the dress from the designer for me to try it on! I bought it! I never thought that I'd find my dress that way - but all the designers have sites and post their dresses on line. Give it a try!

Planning..stay away from Bridal Suite Patchogue!!
There service has gone downhill and I have to say that I am not alone in my problems with them. I posted some of my issues with them in the thread above. They have gone downhill badly and their service is the worst. They overcharged me by almost $70.00 on my maid of honor dress and if I had not kept my original receipt I would not have known it. I did get the money back, but only because I went back and asked for it. There was a big problem with my dress and my maid of honor dress (alterations not done and not done correctly). I would stay away from them. If you do decide to buy your dress from them find someone else to do the alterations!!Welcome New Vendors
