Has anyone looked at gowns yet?? I wanted to get a head start the only problem is I study in Mexico and I'm only home on LI once in awhile. Which bridal salon/s should I hit up if i'm only home for a few days?

You should definitely go to RK bridal in the city they have tons of gowns.

Omg...I went to sooo many of them... Here are some of the ones that I liked the best:
Valentinas Bridal (Brooklyn) Lilletts Bridal I went to all 3 Bridal Reflections- but I like the one in Carle Place the best Iman Couture The wedding Salon Macys Demetrios (In Manhasset)
I went to a few others and I wasn't crazy about them...so I def wouldn't reccommend others to go there

I would go somewhere near your home. That way when you come home you can maximize your time. I am partial to Paradise Bridals in Patchogue but that is where I got my dress.

ok, i started the dress hunt - so far RK Bridal in the city is THE BEST! the dress i have an eye on is in this place - ur bound to find 'The One' I promise u! I've been to Kleinfeld, Macys Bridal Salon(34th st) RK, and still browsing around.
I cant wait for 2011 to come!

I went just to see what style would look good on me and I'm leaning towards mermaid. I like simple but unique. Just to let you know be careful of macy's bridal... when my FSIL got married she got her dress from their and they never did the final alterations ( like the hook to bustle the train and the hook for the halter) and as i was helping her get dressed we found these problems 2 hrs before her wedding. Thank god the lady was nice and rushed right over to fix it... but just thought you should know.
