Does anyone have a problem with keeping the baby's head straight up? I have the additional headrest in there, but she seems a little wobblyand I find her head still bounces around. What am I doing wrong?

my son's head used to move around at 1st also. What I did was get rid of the head rest...and doc or nurse will tell you the same thing...the head rest pushes the baby's head foward and to their chest. Then I rolled to small recieving blankets...and put one on each side of his head to keep it in place.....never put anything over the baby's head in a car....it will not hold their head in place properly.
I was told my every doc and nurse in the NICU to never use a headrest that wraps around the tops of the baby's head....if you need to make one your self....so that it sits on the side of the baby's head and neck....nothing should be above the baby's head

It's a wonder why they make them that way then...that's the only way I've seen unless you do what you did with the blankets.

We had the same problem...for the first few weeks we just made sure someone was in the back seat with him to 'prop' his head up! It gets better quickly as they develop some neck muscles. Oh, and I used the same headrest as you - I thought it worked fine. I have never heard not to use something like that...why do they sell it if it is dangerous??

I agree they shouldn't make them if they are so dangerous....but they do because regardless what consumer reports and doc and nurses say people are still using them
