Graco SnugRide infant seat recall-info

Just saw on the news Graco had recalled all Snug Ride Infant Car Seats from March 02-March 03. They said there is a piece missing on it. Go to there website for more information if any of you have it! Even if you aren't using it right now but plan on having more kids find out if yours is one of them!!

Thanks for the info............I registered for one and just found out it was the one that was recalled...........

We already bought ours and installed it so I will have to check the model number. Thank you so much as I never would have realized.

Mine was on the list of car seats that might have the problem too but I checked the info and mine is fine. It's some pretty major things that they are missing so you'd probably notice but you never know someone might not realize, especially if you have no car seat experience (and how many of us do before we have a baby)

We registered for the Saratoga Snug ride. I guess I won't be getting it until my shower in April or May. Do you think BRU will pull them from the shelves?

I called BRU yesterday about the seat I registered for. They said that they do not carry them anymore. I asked if it was because of the recall and they said yes. I am due next month and did not have my shower yet. It was the saratatoga one as well. Check your registery and see if anyone got it yet. If not you still have time to change.

egreen, oh no!

Wait i don't understand they don't carry them since this week, or did they stop carrying them before this week? If the recall just happened this week, why would they pull them earlier?

I called the bru in westbury and Brooklyn yesterday to ask for the model number of the Saratoga Snug ride so I could check and both said that they no longer carried them. I was very upset........

Well, that's a bummer. I registered for a snugride too and my shower is in 2 weeks. Now what?

Just found this on another message board website. Hopefully this is true and good news for all of us who need our car seats soon!

'The information that Wafflerunoff posted about the corrective action is about what I have heard from two local stores and from a second call to Graco customer service. Graco said they expect inspections of the removed seats and bases to be completed within a few weeks and stores will return the inspected items (and new ones, where necessary) to the shelves with inspection stickers.'
