hey guys sorry a little off topic. I want to be a speech language pathologist but having a very hard time getting in to grad school. I love working with children with autism, so i figured i should get my special ed masters and then my TSHH/TSSLD. Did anyone do this? Does anyone know if it is worth it, basically is it still a good career opportunity and financially rewarding? I know either way i go i would be personally rewarded just working with the children, so now i need to know about the other important aspects. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. I am so lost don't know if i should keep trying for SLP, already applied 3X and time is wasting i want to finish grad school by my wedding lol!! Either way I know I like the speech aspect

Re: GRAD HELP-Special education and TSHH
hmmmmmm, a girl I went to college with is a speech path upstate in Orange County - I forget where she went to grad school - but she def got her grad in Speech Path - not Special Ed....
Another friend went for seech path in East Brunswick, PA - and she's got a great career somewhere here on the island.
I think there's a demand for Speech Pathologists but I would still get my grad in Special Ed just to be on the safe side.
