hi girls! thought you might be able to help me. my cousin is graduating from high school this year, and her party is this sunday. just trying to decide what would be a good gift. i'm thinkin money, and thats probably what i'll end up giving, but she tends to be a shopper, and i'm worried she'll blow the money away shes going away to college, so i was trying to think of something good for that, but i jstu can't think... any ideas??? thanks!

is she going to college? If so you could make a basket with some dorm basics like a laundry bag, shower kit, flip flops, school supplies etc... I remember all that stuff added up real quickly!!

If she's going to school away from home you might want to find out what restaurants are around there and buy her a gift certificate to one of those restuarants.

i did this for one of my friends. got a laundry basket, some detergent, towels, shower caddy, etc. and then i made her some customized stationery that i told her she better write me letters on! I just bought one of those packs of fancy paper from staples and centered her name on the top and ran it through the printer. she loved it!

Ditto! I would have loved it if someone had done this for me when I went away to college! A gift certificate to BB&B or Linen's and Things might be good too, I had gotten so much of my college dorm supplies from there back in the day!

I usually give the book, 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!' - yes, by Dr. Seuss! - along with a Borders Gift Card. You can write a meaningful inscription to her in the book that she'll have forever. That book is great for any age... and she'll definitely be able to use the gift card! The laundry basket idea and Bed, Bath and Beyond gift card was also a great idea... you can combine them all together for a kick *** gift! (you can also give her a 20% coupon or two that she'll REALLY appreciate!)

what about a visa or mastercard gift card? it's like a debit card she can use anywhere. i got one last year as a gift when i got my masters.

how about a BBB gift certificate? They now have college registrys, which I think is so cool!
Or, you could get her a silver tiffany necklace or something of the sorts. That will run about $100.
