So many of you have put my mind at ease with the RSVP issue (including # of guests)... but now I just noticed something else...
I put an 's' at the end of the word regret. So my cards actually read:
M_______________________
___ accepts with pleasure ___ declines with regrets
Is this grammatically incorrect???

Re: Grammatically [In]Correct Wording???
My way too smart FH said that the tenses just have to match. So either 'decline with regret' or 'declines with regrets' work. and yet i would have thought 'declines with regret'. so confusing!

Wouldn't it then be 'accepts with pleasures'? I thought 'pleasure' and 'regret' were collective or something - more than one person can have either, kind of like 'money' ('We have money' doesn't change to 'We have monies')
LOL I feel like I'm in 4th grade again - and I never got it right then, either!!
