FH just got home with his copy -- he bought it during lunch. I watched the intro and it looks pretty cool but I never saw or played the old ones.
Anyone else have it already?
FH said it cost $100 million to make and they are expecting to take in $400 million in the first week alone

wow that's crazy. I know FH wants it. He had the last one and I watched him play a few times. It was pretty good. Though when my 11 and 12 year old students are talking about how they play it and kill people in order to buy things, I wasn't too crazy about it!

GTA4 is like the highlight of a gamers year. FH has kinda gotten used to the fact that he cant spend $60 on a video game 4 weeks until the wedding and has been really bummed about it especially since all his friends have it.....but to his surpise I'll have a copy waiting for him this weekend.
Im actually excited for it. I played one of the games on PSP and found it fun. I really wanna watch FH play though and look at how great the graphics of NYC are.

from my 2 minutes of watching, the graphics are pretty sweet and its funny to see the map -- and all of the spinoff names. i think they called central park 'middle park' or something similar?
and 'dukes' instead of 'queens'

OMG!! Last night the comercial came on and FH was like Grand Theft Auto 4 I have to have that! To much. His bday is Friday so I might get it but then I lose the big tv in the living room...lol!

OMG!! Last night the comercial came on and FH was like Grand Theft Auto 4 I have to have that! To much. His bday is Friday so I might get it but then I lose the big tv in the living room...lol!
we only have one tv... it's a 46' LCD but i shouldnt be watching anyway

I have already lost my DH to the game. We only have one tv, so he'll be playing most of the night. I'm 'hiding out' in our bedroom working. The graphics do look awesome though and it's fun to see my DH enjoying himself.
