Grandma's Dress

Does anyone have any recommendations of where my 85 year old grandma can buy her dress for my wedding? She is about 5'2 and is about a size 16. Thanks in advance!

Try Estelle's in Farmingdale. They have a nice selection in the Estelle's II part -- my husband's grandmother got her's there.

Lord & Taylor's had a nice selection. My mother got her dress there.

I would recommend also trying Sears. I know it sounds not-so-great. But they usually have a nice selection of dresses for older women. If your Grandmother needs to be super fancy for your affair, try Macy's and Bloomingdales. If she is fraile it might be easier to purchase from the department stores and bring the dresses to her to try on, then return ones that she doesn't like. Also I wonder if Laura Ashley makes a nice dress for older women.

Try Catherines....

There are a few around, but we went to the plus size one in Carle Place (on Old Country Road) and has VERY good luck there! They had a decent selection of dressy dresses, ranging from formal beaded to simple floral looks. My Grandma, my mom & his mom all found their dresses there!
