Do they get announced at the reception, like your parents and the BP?

I plan to announce my grandmother at my wedding, but I don't think it's something you have to do!

I am having my grandfather announced and his grandmother announced. All my cousins weddings and a few friends weddings they did have the grandparents announced.

We announced my grandparents and had them walk in before my parents. You don't have to tho, it was a personal decision, I wanted to honor them.
My cousin just got married but she didn't have her grandmothers announced into the reception. So it's really up to what you want to do!!

you can if you want but you don't have to. if you are close with them then it might be special way to show how dear they are to you

Just my 1 grandfather would be attending and FH still has two sets of Grandparents, should my grandfather be paired with someone?
I think he'd get a kick out of being announced.

my grandparents are not alive, but if they were they would have been announced...Dh's grandparents were announced before the parents

That's a good question...I didn't ever think of that. I only have my grandfather and his wife....now I have another decision to make!!

The only grandparent left that DH & I had is my grandmother so at our wedding we announced my grandmother.
