September 7th is Grandparents Day!! Don;t forge your Grandparents!! (or your kids grandparents) I send a little gift with a card to Grandma for this day and she is so thrilled to get it because she has no idea which day it is....which makes it even more special!

awwww that sounds very sweet! i was seeing cards and wondering if i should get them and send them out... although then it would become a yearly traditon and what if i forgot.....im sooooooo lazy

I am so glad you posted this...I was just wondering when this was the other day because it's not listed on any of my calandars. And this year my parents are grandparents-to-be so I wanted to send them something. Thanks

When I was in grade school, we had Grandparents Day every May. They came in to school in the morning and we did different things with them. My children's school doesn't do that. I was very disappointed. Did anyone else do this?

i did...
one year i had my great grandmother, another set of great grandparents, and 2 sets of grandparents.
I remember telling the kids that didnt have grandparents they could borrow one of mine.
Because of me they changed it to very special person's day.
so make sure that you send yours something for me!!!

we had Grandparents Day in may in Elementary School too!! Each class got up on stage and sang a song, I remember singing 'Daisy, Daisy, Give me your Answer Do'....I also remember singing'will ya still need me, will ya stilll feed me, when I'm 64!'
Then we would go back to our classrooms with our grandparents for juice and cookies!
