Gratuity

I`m getting married in 6 weeks and My FI and I are trying to figure out a close approximation for our final payment for the hall We have gotten 99% of our responses back, But even so this is hard to do without knowing what percent you are supposed give for a tip. We know exactly what the price is with a service charge and sales tax, but not tip.Am I supposed to call the hall and ask them? I`m afraid they`ll come up with a crazy amount, Any suggestions??

The service charge is generally the tip for the everyone who works for the catering hall, except the bridal attendant and the maitre'd. You should call your hall and ask them what the service charge is for then you will know for sure. The tip for the maitre'd and bridal attendant is given to them the day of the wedding.

Our hall gave us suggestions for the Captains, Maitre D and Bridal assistant. Captains were 125 per (2), MD was $3 per guest and BA was 100. They will tell you.
