Gratuity for owners?

Gratuity for owners?

Do I tip the video/photographer if they are the owners of the company doing the wedding?

I would still say yes....maybe not AS much as you would have if they were one of the workers....but I would still tip...out of appreciation for their work. JMO

I have heard that you don't tip people with their own business.....can anyone confirm this??

My mother and I had a long discussion about this in the past week. In her day, tips were for a job that was performed above what you expect. Owners NEVER received tips, and nobody had their hand out expecting to be tipped. I plan on following the 'old' rule.
